➡️ This website tracks TikTok's top-performing songs. When you find one you like, you can type it into the Search Bar on Instagram (make sure you have 'audio' selected as the search query') click on the audio & take a look at how people are using it... more inspiration for you! -
-
➡️ Here is my Notion Storyboard template that you can use & make your own. Note: You'll have to 'Duplicate' this template (found in top right corner) to start editing it. If you have any questions, let me know in Slack!

➡️ This is the phone stand/ring light I use to film all my Reels.

The Post-it Note Reel -
Here is the Reel we are going to recreate @jenn_mariephotography.The Hand Swish Reel -
Here is the Reel we are going to recreate @bellafoxwell, which was originally inspired by @thesocialimpact.auNote: You don't have to have a hand swish as your transition - you could have a click, clap, head bop, cover the camera with something, throw something, jump... anything! The thing to remember is to have the action take place in time to the beat (/one of the beats) of the track.
Below are the step-by-step instructions for filming 2 clips that feature a transition. This process is very similar for any type of Reel you're filming that features a transition: You film each clip all the way through w/ the transition and then film the next clip all the way through. This makes it much easier to edit together a seamless transition.
Open up the Saved Reel that has the audio I want to use > Click "Use Audio"
Set timer for 3 seconds
Click the Record button (Reels icon in bottom centre of screen)
Film entire Reel (including transition - in this case hand swish) in outfit #1
Once happy, Save that clip to my phone gallery
Now it's time to film the same clip again, in another outfit.
Discard (/delete) that clip so I have space to film a fresh clip in outfit #2
Set timer for 3 seconds
Click the Record button (Reels icon in bottom centre of screen)
Film entire Reel (including transition - in this case hand swish) in outfit #2
Once happy, Save that clip to my phone gallery
Now I have 2 clips ready to edit together into 1 Reel with a seamless transition.
Here is the Reel we are going to recreate @somewhatperfect_.
